British artist Stuart Temple and cartoonist Stephen Collins have designed some humorous ‘get well soon’ e-cards for people to send to anyone they know with a mental illness. ‘Time to change’ have launched this initiative to help open up a dialogue about mental health. They are urging people to send these cards to anyone they might know with a mental illness to break the silence. According to research this is a rare practice with only 1 in 4 people with a mental illness receiving ‘get well soon’ cards when 80% of them said they would appreciate this.

I think any conversation starters are a positive thing. I don’t quite get these, though – perhaps the mental health space is just too foreign to me.
